Catalysis is a craft beer retail-studio complex that acts not only as a catalyst for its product but a reflection of the changing demographics and culture in Kitchener. The word "catalysis" is actual process of acceleration in chemical reactions. This place aims not to only be just an object but an ongoing process. It is brewing new energy and meaning to manufacturing. It is an act of rapid change that infuses youth into an aging community.

PIXEL is a technology-art event centre for symposiums, talks, and workshops. It aims to become the mediator between not only the technology and art sectors but the old and new uprising tech savvy population in downtown Kitchener.
The exterior parkway that will be revitalized adds street presence; the exterior will create a hazy, otherworldly experience. The layered facade is an installation that broadcasts digital arts to the people of Kitchener. The metal mash projects images onto the primary facade of the building. Each grid is a pixel.
